So lots to tell this week. Sister Vander Does ended up going home this week. It was a good decision. She may have a Vein Disease. So its sad but she is one heck of a trooper and she is going to work on coming back out. I can truly tell you that she gave it her all and that she was one of the best missionaries i have met. So i was put into a trio with sister Brown and Brough. Yup its the Dearden and the Bro's! We have totally crushed it! We have had a good time!
Anyways i dont know what else to say. We have been trying to keep the work going in both areas. Yup we are each still covering 4 wards. Its going to be pretty awesome being a solo missionary in 4 wards. A lot of people are confused and so are we so its going to be fun.
So we have had a lot of super spiritual moments this last week. I dont know which ones to share. but i will share one that happened last night. okay 2 that happened last night. So we were having a prayer at this house and i had been fasting all day and i was dying. i was so tired because in a trio with the 3 of us you dont sleep. We are all like best friends so its pretty much a spiritual party 24/7. but anyways i was trying to focus during the prayer and i kind of had this idea. When we are praying i always try and picture heavenly father in front of me. Like i am coming to him. Anyways i kind of realized in that prayer that as we were counseling together we did what we needed to and then we all approached heavenly father together. I just pictured all of us kneeling down to heavenly father Bringing what we have to him and asking for his protection. It was a big thing. I was just like wow this brings a whole new aspect to prayer. When we pray as a family we have a spokesperson for out family and then when we pray as a council we have a spokesperson. I think those that are asked to say prayers are pretty privileged because they are asked to be the spokesperson for the whole team. Anyways so then our dinner appointment we decided to share that. We found a few scriptures that kind of went a long with prayer and i bore testimony of the power of invisionary Heavenly father. Anyways it was exactly what the family needed to hear. We had no idea that they had been struggling with their prayers. They have been having a really hard time and this family is so active and so missionary minded so we had no idea how to help them but then the lord provided a way. It was pretty awesome.
So the second experience. With Sister vander does leaving and us covering 2 areas. We have all been a little stressed. So sister brough has gotten a cold in the last few days so we convinced her to get a blessing and i am so grateful for our district leader because he came over and gave her a blessing and he looked at em and he was like dearden sit down. And i kind of fought it for a second but he knows me to well and i could tell the spirit was telling him i needed a blessing. I am so grateful that he is stubborn and a worthy priesthood holder. I really did need that blessing. i just didnt know it. And in the blessing i guess i was expecting to hear some certain things but it was exactly the opposite and exactly what i needed to hear. I am so grateful for a loving Heavenly father that knows each of us personally. I thought i knew what i needed but Heavenly father knows us better than we do sometimes. It was just super awesome.
Anyways thank you for all you do and the many many many prayers. I love and miss you!
Sister Dearden
